Accessibility Statement

Effective Date: 1 March 2026

Last Updated: 1 April 2026

Our Commitment

BatteryTailor is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

BatteryTailor is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are actively working to address known gaps.

Measures to Support Accessibility

BatteryTailor takes the following measures to ensure accessibility:

  • Accessibility is included as part of our service development process

  • Accessibility is integrated into our procurement practices

  • Clear accessibility goals and responsibilities are assigned

  • Formal accessibility quality assurance methods are employed

  • User feedback on accessibility is actively monitored and acted upon

Technical Specifications

Accessibility of BatteryTailor relies on the following technologies working with your browser and any assistive technologies installed:

  • HTML

  • WAI-ARIA

  • CSS

  • JavaScript

These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standards used.

Known Limitations and Workarounds

Despite our best efforts, there may be some accessibility limitations. Known limitations are listed below. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed here.

1. PDF Reports

Generated PDF reports may not be fully compatible with screen readers. We are working to improve PDF accessibility in future versions. Workaround: contact us for an accessible HTML version of your report.

2. Interactive Charts

Some data visualisation charts may not be fully accessible to keyboard-only users. Workaround: text alternatives describing chart data are provided below each chart.

3. Colour Contrast

Some elements may not meet WCAG AAA contrast requirements, though they meet AA requirements. Workaround: we recommend using your browser's high contrast mode if needed.

Compatibility

BatteryTailor is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:

  • Screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver)

  • Screen magnification software

  • Speech recognition software

  • Browser text size controls

  • Keyboard navigation

BatteryTailor is compatible with recent versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge, and recent versions of iOS and Android mobile browsers.
